In “The Family,” six families give a pure and unfiltered look into their daily lives. The six were followed for months with fixed cameras in their homes and cars. They are all ordinary people, but with a special story. The family of Isabelle and Steven is living up to their son Baptiste’s first participation in the Special Olympics. Liesbet runs a household with two children of her own and four foster children. But she always has room to spare: a homeless refugee is also welcome. And Amina, a single mother from Puurs, hopes to be reunited with her son Redah, with whom she has hardly had any contact.
